Worldwide waitlist · Germany launches first · Free to join

Your evening.
Your pledge.

Put your phone aside for the night — with a financial pledge you choose.

You decide on your app break and the amount. A charge is only possible if you deliberately end your pledge and confirm the exact amount in a separate step.

Turn “one more minute”
into a pledge.

A boundary you choose for your evening, backed by an amount you set in advance.

Plan your night

Choose your time window and the apps you want to pause for the night.

Set your pledge

You choose an amount. After you confirm, it is reserved on your card — not yet charged.

Make a conscious choice

If you open a selected app, Lumi reminds you of your pledge. You can return to your plan.

This is the planned Lumi experience. The app is in development; you can join the waitlist for free now.

Your money.
Your decision.

The financial pledge is central to Lumi. That’s why we explain exactly when a charge is intended to happen.

You keep your pledge
Without a confirmed paid ending, the card reservation is instructed to be released. Your bank determines how soon the amount becomes available again.
You deliberately end it with a charge
First, you choose to end your pledge. Then you confirm the exact amount in a second step. Only a confirmation securely accepted by the server can trigger a charge.
An emergency or technical problem
The separate emergency route does not trigger a new charge. Missing or unclear technical information must not create a new charge either.

Opening an app alone never triggers a charge. Using emergency access later does not automatically refund a charge that has already happened.

Understand pledges and payments

Still have a question?

Lumi supports the evening boundary you choose. It does not measure sleep or promise health benefits.

Why is Lumi for ages 18 and over?

Because a financial pledge can create payment obligations, the first release is for adults. This is our launch decision. The waitlist is also for ages 18 and over and remains free. About the age limit

Am I charged every time I use an app?

No. Opening an app alone does not trigger a charge. It requires deliberately ending the pledge, separately confirming the exact amount and secure acceptance of that confirmation.

Can I join from outside Germany?

Yes, from anywhere if you are at least 18. Select your country of residence in the form. Germany will launch first; other launch dates have not been set.

Which smartphones is Lumi planned for?

iOS and Android. The screenshots show the German Android test build. Features and design may change before release.
