Joining the waitlist is free. We do not collect card or payment details. There is no purchase, reservation, test charge or subscription.
The planned financial pledge
Lumi’s central feature is a voluntary commitment with an amount you choose for one night. The plan is to reserve that amount on your card after your explicit confirmation, without charging it yet. Unless you confirm a paid ending, the reservation is instructed to be released; your bank determines when the amount is available again. This feature requires complete terms, a separate payment flow and approval before launch. German launch amounts, availability and legal arrangements have not yet been approved.
Why the first release is for adults
Because of the possible financial obligations, the first app release is for people aged 18 and over. Use by minors would require a separate review of contract and payment conditions and possible parental consent. This is our decision for launch. About the age limit
No winnings or betting
There would be no random mechanism, prize, shared pot or opportunity to receive more money. A pledge would not be a bet against someone else or an investment.
Opening an app alone must never trigger a charge
Merely opening or displaying a selected app must never be enough. A financial consequence would require a deliberate, multi-step confirmation of the exact amount and secure server acceptance. Missing, delayed, contradictory or technically uncertain information must not cause a charge.
